Draining the Housatonic: 9/28-9/30

McCallum enterprises, operator of the Derby Dam, has announced dates for their annual dam maintenance program during which they lower the Lake Housatonic water level. Prime date is midnight, Friday 9/28 through midnight, Sunday 9/30. If because of unforeseen circumstances those dates do not work, then the alternate is Friday, 10/12 through Sunday, 10/14.
