Look At These Guys Go! And Other Regatta News

Lake Carnegie winning Men's Masters eight for 2008. Go NHRCs! Kudos also to the Mixed Masters 8+ (2nd; Milnamow stroke); and the Men's Masters 4+ winning boat stroked by Carroll Brooke.

One person we are missing in the men's boats this year is Gordon Kuster who, we are told via Baxter Walsh, "has recently had both knees re-tuned 'under the knife.' He's recovering well and in the New Haven Hotel on George St, New Haven, 3rd floor in the Temple Rehab Center until Friday when he returns home. Sandi says he's very uo to receiving visitors. Hours are 1pm to 8pm. Let's get a few people together and do it." Contact Baxter for visiting details.

And save the date for:

The Narragansett Rowing Club's annual Sweeps and Sculls Regatta on July 26 (entry deadline on July 21.) To paraphrase William Jefferson Clinton, "It's about the barbecue, stupid!" (Hat tip to Mitch Berkson, NRC regatta chair.)

Steve Gurney writes that "the entire NHRC West Coast membership plans to compete in
the US Rowing Master's Nationals in Long Beach, CA" August 14-17. Anyone planning to augment those numbers needs to talk to their boat captains sooner rather than later.

GMS Regatta, Sunday September 21 in gorgeous New Milford, CT (Hat tip to Barbara Fabiani).

Registration is now open for both of these regattas at Regatta Central. Please note we have updated the links widget on the right to include this critical racing tool.
