Wow! There's an app for just about everything. Very cool.
I have this app, which is the most expensive app I have on my iPhone, but it works amazingly well. Mounting the waterproof case may require a little ingenuity and duct tape, but the app itself is simpler and easier to use than a cox box, and smarter than your average SpeedCoach -- and is wireless, totally portable, and [almost] instantly installable in any shell. It even gives you stroke rates when stern pair is sitting out. If you row, and have an iPhone, this is nothing as impressive to your fellow rowers as this...
