RE: Providence, Sweeps and Sculls Regatta at the Narragansett Boat Club, Providence , RI
Date: Saturday July 21, 2007
There are two 11” x17” Flyer / Sign-up sheets in the boathouse. The sign-up portion of the flyer will enable Paul to assist those who wish to row in this fun regatta that ends with a barbecue.
The 11 x 17 sheets are at the “sign out” desk with a few long sheets displaying the Events / Schedule, 1 through 35. Please add your name etc. to the list before the July 9th deadline. Please; no calls or e-mails.
Many who rowed last year entered two or three events. We encourage the MORE - experienced members to participate with our LESSER - experienced members, offering an opportunity to some members who may otherwise choose not to row.
So, Please Sign Up! If you want to know more about the regatta, click here.

Editor's Note: We went last year and the barbecue was fantastic. And the advantage in rowing several events is that you can totally eat your head off afterwards and it feels great.

Diamond States:We are still attempting to secure transportation for Diamond States. Unfortunately, the deadline for entries is rapidly approaching (9 July 2007 -- click here to enter). Again, if there are any crews interested in this regatta, please let John Poole know ASAP so we can decide what to do. (i.e., either try to find a way to send our own trailer down, or attempt to hitch a ride with someone else if only one or two NHRC crews are interested).

Planning for FISA's:
"The FISA Veterans Regatta is in Zagreb, Croatia this year, with racing starting on Thursday, September 6 and ending on Sunday, September 10. I will have some informational materials and the schedule of racing with me this Saturday morning and also at Rick Dyer's picnic. There will also be additional planning sessions later this month. The website of the regatta is here.
For planning purposes, if you are thinking of going, please notify me promptly. At the moment, I know the following individuals have expressed an intent to go: Rick Dyer, Vic Altshul, Baxter Walsh, Dick Thackaberry, Gordon Kuster, John Brackett, Dick Fiske, Paul Roy, John Sword and myself; possibly Sandy Blanchard.
