Director Position Statements - Marc Nemeth

Marc Nemeth

I have been nominated to the Board of Directors and I would like the members to have some idea of my position on some of the key issues that I plan to focus on or expect to be brought before the Board; Governance, Committee Empowerment, Maintenance and Competition.

Governance:

I can bring a better sense of organizational governance to NHRC. I have been Board Chair of MidState Medical Center, an organization well regarded as far a clinical outcomes, operational issues and governance.

Committee Empowerment:

I would like to move NHRC in the direction in which issues are researched, debated and in a loose way consensus reached, at the committee level, prior to the issue being brought to the board. This process should be transparent and advertised so any member who wants to have input can do so at the committee level.

Maintenance:

I believe that we should prepare for the future of our physical assets (building), I would be looking to increase the resources that we have in reserve for the inevitable maintenance that will be necessary.

Competition:

There has been much talk about NHRC becoming more competitive. In order to do so will require changes (suggested from Coaching committee and Coaches) in the way we currently operate. The changes needed should be communicated to the membership so there aren't any surprises, once and if we decide to accept those suggestions.
