Yale's School of Management Graduate Crew hosted a scrimmage last Sunday (April 26), with invitees consisting of boats from both the MIT Graduate Crew and the New Haven Rowing Club. Organized by Chris Chrisman and Dean Poniros, and with Yale and NHRC boats set-up by Coach Nicholas Lee, the 1000m sprints were held on Yale's race course, ending at the Gilder Boathouse finish line.
Both NHRC entries in the scrimmage, consisting of men's and women's eights, respectively, won their events in what proved to be very close racing on a beautiful spring afternoon! Racing was followed by the dispensation of medals and a picnic at the Gilder boathouse.
Much thanks to Yale SOM for hosting this fun, informal event and inviting us to participate. The following photos were taken and supplied to me by Mark and Susan Schofield. Wherever names are incorrect or missing, please let me know, and I'll revise this posting.
