Some quick notes:
Please keep June 9th open for the DSS. We need every member who can make it to be available. Assignments will be made momentarily.
We have a new Women’s Eight, and it is a beauty. And we are actively assessing several pair-double boats with an eye to purchasing them, and next up will be consideration of a 4-seat boat.
We will have our regular Board meeting on the first Wednesday of the month (June 6th). The following month because of the 4th of July holiday, the meeting will be postponed to Wednesday, the 11th of July.
Regarding the cleanup activities: please remember that we all must do our share in keeping the boathouse clean. If you are unable to make your assigned date, it is your responsibility to make it up during the week or get a replacement person to take your place. Fewer than half of you are doing the cleanup, leaving your job to others. Please make an effort to perform this much needed and not very taxing chore as you are called upon to do so.
Last but not least, here is a photo of our latest “future hammer” Eric Zipkin’s son Ben. 6 pounds, 7 ounces.
