This just in from Lisa Brailey, who is issuing an urgent plea for volunteers for the Derby Sweeps and Sculls, Saturday, June 9:
"Our spring regatta, the Derby Sweeps and Sculls, will be held on Saturday, June 9, less than 2 weeks away! Club volunteers are needed in order to make this event the great success it always has been. Help will be needed this coming weekend (delivery of neighborhood notices to mailboxes), the afternoon of June 8 (setup of the race course and initial beach setup), and all day on the 9th (setup, parking, registration, beach management, boat drivers, finish line timing, cleanup at the end of the day, removal of course buoys at the end of the day).
Please let me know ASAP what you can do, when and for how long you are available, and if and when you are racing (club members are allowed to participate in one race). Please let me know if you cannot help. Please contact me even if you think I should already know what you are doing.
Thank you very much for your immediate cooperation."
Because we have a policy of NOT publishing personal information on the web, we have not put Lisa's cell phone or email address up, even though she sent them with the original email. You may reach her through your club directory, or write an email to the Catch (that would be NHRC(dot)Catch(at)gmail(dot)com, which we promise to forward. But do respond to her before this gets to the crisis point.
